The End of Another Day

There is a really nice little pop up hit just beside the Temple Basin lodge at the moment and a great place to hang out after a big day riding lines as the sun fades away.

Episode 1

With one big snowfall to start the late season off we went out in search of fresh snow. Though it had been greatly affected by the nor-west wind there were still pockets of powder to be found and great fun to be had.
After the big dump at the start of July there hasn’t really been much new snow and the Clubbies have no groomers and no snowmaking so when the snowfall is less that average all you can really do is keep an eye out for that next weather system to roll on through.
During our days up in the mountains we had plenty of interesting times and met some different people who together make the Clubbies what they are, fingers crossed for some more snow and until then please enjoy the first episode of Riley Bathurst and Liam Hall’s “the Clubbies”.

The first ep is almost done

& as the night set in on another day of shreading we decided it still wasn’t time to finish snowboarding Ruari Macfarlane got planted on his own little feature less than 5 meters away from the lodge and 10 meters away from the bar, Shot Riley Bathurst

Temple Base

The storm system that has been hampering the South Island has definatley left it’s mark on the furthest west of the clubbies. Temple Basin has more than 2meters of snow and a run out al the way to the highway, those that have walked in our out will know how much of a relief it is to have a shread down rather than a hike. With that much fresh snow Ben Comber joined us for a mission to make use of day and night riding. Photo by Riley Bathurst
